Made from recycled plastic bottles, P.E.T. rugs are soft, durable, and eco-conscious—designed to look and feel like wool, with the added benefit of indoor-outdoor versatility. The Dhurry collection features flatweave construction, is double-sided, and ideal for high-traffic areas.
Follow these simple care tips to keep your rug fresh and vibrant:
Vacuum regularly using a suction-only vacuum or a vacuum with the beater bar turned off to preserve the texture. Shake out the rug outdoors to remove dust and debris—especially effective for lighter P.E.T. rugs or flatweaves.
Blot spills immediately with a dry cloth—do not rub. Clean with mild soap and cold water. Gently blot with a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid bleach or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the fibers and affect color.
For a deep clean, P.E.T. rugs are water-resistant and can be hosed down outdoors. Use a soft brush and mild soap as needed. Allow to air dry completely before bringing indoors or placing furniture on top.
Flatweave rugs in the Dhurry collection can also be machine washed for a deeper clean. Use cold water on a gentle cycle. Lay flat to dry.
Rotate every 3–6 months to maintain even wear and color exposure.
To extend the life of your rug, place in covered outdoor areas and store indoors during extreme weather or winter months.
