Founded in 2010, Area Rug Shop was created with a clear vision: to transform rug shopping into an experience that feels inspiring, effortless, and deeply personal. What began as a single showroom has grown into one of Canada’s most thoughtfully designed destinations for area rugs, featuring collections we design in-house, spanning modern to traditional, understated to expressive.

We believe a rug does more than complete a room. It grounds a space, softens everyday life, and quietly sets the tone for how a home feels. Yet too often, customers are asked to compromise on size, shape, quality, or design. At Area Rug Shop, we set out to remove those compromises.
