In 2010, Area Rug Shop (ARS) was established as a one-of-it's-kind showroom that features thousands of beautiful area rugs; from modern to traditional, wool to silk, and every colour palette imaginable to complete and cozy up your home.

We set out to create an immersive rug-buying experience with uncompromising customer service and selection. Our thought was simple—why should customers have to go from store-to-store in search of that elusive perfect rug? Why should customers have to settle on a rug that they found in a department, hardware, or grocery store? Why should customers have to settle on a size—either too big or small? And what about a different rug shape such as round? Simply put, rug buying can be unnecessarily complicated but we make it easy and fun!

You can have peace of mind shopping with us as we ensure all of our products are responsibly made. From the factory floor to our sales floor all of our products are OEKO-TEX & SEDEX certified, meaning there will be no off-gassing or toxic fumes. We only work with vendors that strictly adhere to labour laws, including no child-labour, safe workplace environment and ethically sourced materials, so you can shop with confidence!
